Amsterdam, 27 October 2010 – Following the much talked-about announcement of the .CO.NO domain, CoDNS is proud to present its finalized Sunrise policy. Central element of the policy is the protection of registered trademarks for an unprecedented competitive pricing: never before have trademark owners been able to participate in a “Sunrise” period at such low cost.

Trademark holders have already shown great enthusiasm in this new international extension that offers them better local visibility and additional flexibility. While Norwegian domain registrations can be perceived as restrictive, registrations under .CO.NO have no limitations, whether in the number of domains that can be registered per individual or company nor the demand for local presence.

September 30th 2010 – Announced today, CO.NO is a new extension for Internet domain names that will open a brand new gateway to Norwegian enterprises and individuals for international  businesses. Amsterdam, March 17th 2009 – The CO.NL Operator is glad to announce the opening of the CO.NL Landrush phase that will run for 14 days, starting today at 2:00 pm GMT and ending on March 31st at exactly the same time.
All applications are handled on a best-placed, first-served method, hence making no difference regarding the registrars’ submission dates.
The .CO.NL Operator has experienced two successful Sunrise periods, showing a rapidly growing interest for this new International extension, which offers brands as well as the end user a stronger visibility and more flexibility within the Dutch market.

De policy voorziet in een speciale actie voor de merken die hun .co.nl domeinnaam actief gaan gebruiken: Zij ontvangen gratis een registratietermijn van 10 jaar!

De interesse voor .co.nl is groot en neemt vanaf de eerste registratiemogelijkheid nog fors toe. Ook merkrechthouders hebben hun enthousiasme al getoond. De extra zichtbaarheid en de extra flexibiliteit die deze nieuwe internationale extensie biedt wordt duidelijk gewaardeerd. In reactie op vragen en zorgen van merkrechthouders heeft de Operator besloten om een nog niet eerder vertoonde policy te hanteren die deze groep de mogelijkheid geeft om volledig te profiteren van hun domein naam gebruik.
